Review of the year, call for nominations

It’s that time of the year when we ask for your thoughts for the johnson banks review of the year. This will be our third go at this, following 2007 and 2008.

It’s your chance to vent your spleen about the worst ad you've seen, the biggest steal, the most-overhyped person or idea, you name it really.

It is also, of course, the chance to be cheery and positive and select your favourites of the year, whether it be design, advertising, media or music related.

In no particular order, the categories we’ve usually covered are:

The ‘wish I’d done that’ project of the year

Designer of the year

Brand of the year

Logo of the year

Blog of the year (all nominations for this one of course gratefuly accepted)

Biggest blog disappointment

Ad of the year

Album of the year

Single of the year

Gig of the year

Book of the year

Design trend of the year

Most over-hyped person/design/blog/whatever that you can’t wait to see the back of

Worst ad or design of the year

Steal of the year

The ‘I really don't need one but I’d really like one’ product of the year

Your design/trend prediction for ‘10

Your New Year’s resolution

Ad/design of the decade

Please send your nominations to info (at) johnsonbanks (dot) co (dot) uk. Don’t worry if you can’t fill them all out, just do the ones that interest you. Feel free to invent new categories as well.

Best and funniest quotes liberally used and there will definitely be a prize for the best (last year we said that, then forgot so this year we promise...)
